The Mediterranean Diet Garden

One of the best ways to connect people to nature is through food.

Here at the Dolphin Centre, we are growing food on the balcony above the café. We’re growing crops that love hot weather, we call it the Mediterranean Diet Garden.

Making connections between what we eat and where it comes from, witnessing the ‘seed to plate’ journey brings nature to life and inspires us to make connections to our culture and personal well-being.

We grow in pots, containers and raised beds. We have the benefit of the sunny position overlooking the Lake, but in what looks like the perfect spot is in fact our challenge, keeping it cool and watered to get the best out of the produce we are nurturing.
